Tasty Tuna Burgers! I came up with this meal because I wanted to incorporate more fish into my diet and some more protein. This recipe is a great way to do both. Also I am gluten and dairy free and that totally follows along with that as well. Sometimes I am hesitant to eat canned fish but I got this recipe idea in my head and I went ahead and tested it out anyway. I was really surprised! It tasted really fresh and not fishy at all. I wouldn’t recommend this meal as leftovers however. Something about reheating it changes the taste. I am such a huge fan of fresh food.
1 can of tuna
1/3 cup of oat flour
salt and pepper to taste
clove of garlic minced
half a Jalapeno minced
1/3 cup of cilantro chopped
drizzle of olive oil
Put first 7 ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Form into 4 patties. Preheat a nonstick frying pan with some olive oil.
Cook the tuna patties on each side till golden brown and cooked through. Serve with slices of avocado and chopped green onions on top.
Enjoy with your favorite side of vegetables to make a tasty meal.
